What Do You Love About FIM?

I liked the format of the show, and the fandom surrounding it. I loved the surreal humor of the Mentally Advanced Series, and the actual show reminded me of Smurfs. The ponys all live in a village and each one has a unique name and ability. While villains exist, they aren’t the focus despite the fantasy setting.
And Maud.
And Maud.

That’s what got me into the show in the first place. It was a refreshing change of pace from the adult swim humor so mindlessly enjoyed by freshmen frat boys across the globe.

Does Maud mine the rocks for the glory of Prussia?

Not sure what Hetalia has to do with this.
I’m sure Maud would contribute her skills to whomever asked.
That would actually be in character.

The fact that it’s not just ‘Twilight in a village, has friends, wacky stuff happens, back to normal’. It actually has an ongoing plot that changes. Not many cartoons had that before, with only around 2010 we got actual stories. Others, however, generally had a big change every once in a while, while FIM changed all the time, not just in premieres or finales.
Oh and they had guts for some episodes. Perfect Pear is probably one of my, if not my outright favourite.
