No, it’s still set to center-aligned, but if you have an account it set’s it back to left-aligned, at least if you made your profile before the change, I thought I remembered someone saying that feature isn’t available to newer users for some absurd reason. Or maybe it’s just not set to left-aligned for them by default.

On the plus side, comments seems to be permanently editable now. Yay!

There’s a “Use centered layout” tick box on the Settings page, Display tab.

i never understood most of the changes they do to the site layout, i only use the site on mobile but i heard complaining about the time they forced users to see stuff like rankings and top images on the main page on PCs for no reason at all  
i mean i dont care what piece of generic vanilla porn or generic cute or well done safe mane 6 art is top ranking this week, i care when you force me to see it

On derpi, I remember groups of people who mass downvoted stuff they also wanted to hide or filter out of spite.

Edit: Also, I can make the default left align if you guys really insist. It’s such a small change it doesn’t really matter to me. After a full roll-up of updates I’ll make a strawpoll and a thread for that since I know the change mostly affects anons rather than logged in users. And I need a poll that doesn’t require logging in for proper results.
 
The new color tag is legitimately useless for our purpose so don’t worry about it. It’s just a color, apparently.

Everything is center-aligned now when logged out and site uses hCaptcha now what the actual fuck (at least it’s not ReCaptcha). I’m guessing this is a philomena issue.

I haven’t been on Derpibooru since I got banned but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve done more shit which could be these updates you’re talking about. I’ve already listed shit about derpibooru (read here) so I won’t go over that again. I won’t be surprised if this site turns into shit and becomes Derpibooru-lite. Maybe it wont (although most websites which were once good do turn into shit), but it depends on what your “personal things” are.

And to think that sites like Reddit and YouTube used to be good until they were turned into shit. Or actually, were they even good to begin with? It’s only a matter of time before even Tor and I2P either turn into shit or disappear. When that happens, you might as well just stop using the internet, but by then even that won’t be an option because everything will be online only. We’re pretty much fucked and there isn’t anything we can do about it.

We do, but it’s not going to happen, at least not in the mainstream. People value convenience over all else so they sacrifice any freedoms they once had to use centralized shit. These days it seems like every website is under Cloudflare MITM (every fucking booru is except this one), so Cloudflare could easily block a certain user from accessing the entire internet. Tor and I2P are suitable for now but won’t be once the governments and big corporations put an end to them. They’ve already succeeded in scaring the majority of people into thinking that Tor is evil. Federation isn’t going to work because all the instances suffer from lack of use. Shit like Invidious and Searx don’t free you from Google they just desperately try to patch up any privacy issues but it doesn’t circumvent censorship. Youtube-dl? That became more popular after the RIAA tried to take it down a few months ago. XMPP is good for messaging but that won’t protect you unless you’re using OMEMO. E-mail? A federated platform that turned into centralized shit because everyone used G-Mail. Decentralization is going to die. Normal people are lemmings. We are the refugees.
