The solids would be crushed down by gravity, separating out by mass the deeper they go, creating a rocky crust with a metallic core.

Scientists have developed what they call living concrete by using sand, gel and bacteria.
 
Researchers said this building material has structural load-bearing function, is capable of self-healing and is more environmentally friendly than concrete – which is the second most-consumed material on Earth after water.
 
The team from the University of Colorado Boulder believe their work paves the way for future building structures that could “heal their own cracks, suck up dangerous toxins from the air or even glow on command”.

(Ahem) There are fewer stars in the Milky Way than there are trees on Earth. According to statistics, there are around 3 trillion trees on the planet and about 100 billion stars in the Milky Way on the low-end and 400 billion on the high end. But I’ve seen even higher numbers thrown around.

Vermont is a weird state.

Buzkashi is a sport in central Asia where the players ride horses and the ball is a headless sheep carcass. The point is to carry the sheep carcass (around 90 lbs) to a goal and throw it in.

There’s a city in Turkey called Batman. They once sued Warner Brothers when one of the Batman movies came out thinking people would confuse the movie for the city.
