You aren’t really tied to it as is now. You are free to leave at any time and move on or do whatever you want. Unless you actively use that name everywhere you go it wouldn’t matter, but a simple name change here would remove that tie to you elsewhere if you do use it still.
 
If nothing else just ask for a name change here. That way the account is still available if you ever decide to come back and with a different name it wouldn’t be tied to you elsewhere.

Deleting my profile does more than just leaving it as it was. At least that way I wouldn’t be tied to ponybooru anymore, and even if my old art was still here, it wouldn’t be tied to any profile.

I believe that’s a possibility, though it requires an admin to do so. The best way to do so would be to report your own profile and request your account be deleted.

Comments like this always confuse me. If you don’t like MLP anymore or whatever… then why not just stop coming here? If you don’t wanna be tied to MLP anymore then post elsewhere whatever you want. Deleting your profile doesn’t really do anything to prevent you from being tied to MLP at least in some way though.
 
Showing back up only to say I don’t wanna be here is just strange. It doesn’t effect anything if you just leave your account as is and just go do whatever else you want to do.

I don’t think accounts can be deleted (that could really fuck up uploads) but you could probably ask the mods to ban you.

This might not be the right thread for this but I can’t find any threads for this and I don’t really care.
 
Is it possible to delete or permanently deactivate my account on here? I haven’t been on here for months (this is the only reason I came back). I don’t hate Ponybooru (this is the only booru that I don’t hate). I just want to get away from the MLP fandom and forget anything ever happened. It would be great if there was an option in the settings to delete my account so I wouldn’t have to ask this.
