For those too lazy to use the google, an Inamorato is more or less a male consort. and Metamordor is the name I smashed together for the reformed Changeling kingdom. Eventually, Spike’s title will be more along the lines of Prince, but since he’s currently 19, and just starting to settle into his new position of love and politics, he’s actually quite nervous about actually marrying Thorax. TBH, he’s not quite sure Thorax isn’t just having a laugh at him. Techically, Thorax didn’t exactly court Spike before he proposed. He just sort of showed up last year after five years of rebuilding and reforming his kingdom and rarely visiting (and even then, technically he only came around for meetings with the Princesses, where Spike often happened to be. They took a few moments together each time as friends, when they had any moments to spare, but that was about it. Now that Metamordor is starting to prosper, Thorax decided to court Spike in a more old fashioned way. Propose first, fall in love later. They’re working on it. And Spike’s fears are a bit unfounded, since Thorax has basically been in love with him since they met lol.
 
The ornamentation Spike is wearing now, and any further items he might wear throughout the comic, are all gifts from Thorax. And Spike is only a dragon after all, hell yeah he’s gonna wear the shiny stuff!
