Meet Emerald Spear :3
She is a guard pony at Canterlot Palace. She is one of the higher ranking guards, and she is also the one that helps teach the new guards armed combat and martial arts.
She has also served in a lot of battles, and is very caring and protective of the ponies being served under her. Also despite her role and her tough attitude in combat, she’s actually a big softie out of the battlefield x3
She also has a girlfriend, with both of them having an adopted daughter together :3
