Hey
Recently I noticed that in Pony fandom, people tell much often in their blog/comments about problems that they face in real life, such as problems at school, unemployment, sickness or family. I observed numerous other fandoms/internet mirco-societies and people generally would avoid this topic. Normally I would do some statistics test, but while not impossible with proper text mining, it would be a tremendous job so I will violate all rules of scientific approach and tell you my theories starting with most probable in my opinion. I would be happy to hear your opinion.

- It is coincidence/result of my flawed perception. Sharing painful parts of your life is not more prominent in brony fandom.
- MLP and fandom influences people to be more outgoing about their problems
- MLP attracts people who currently have problems in real life, possibly as colorful and optimistic alternative.
- MLP attracts people more prone to having serious life problems in general, possibly because of being more sensitive or less competitive nature.
5.Something else?
I know this is image board, but since Im stalkerish type of person I dont want to invade some random message boards with new account, just to ask this question. Thank you for your time.
