Jupiter is the only child of Luna and the donor-child of Big Macintosh. Luna, being Asexual & Aromantic wanted a foal and settled for a random sperm donation, having Jupiter afterwards. Luna is aware of Jupiter’s biological father, but after hearing from Applejack that Big Mac already had a family and life of his own decided not to intrude and raise Jupiter on her own as planned.
 
Jupiter is very down to earth and adventurous, always causing a playful ruckus and starting fun. She loves to play in the mud and dirt and loves running out in the rain.
 
She loves visiting Ponyvillie which tends to make her mother nervous for reasons she’s not sure about. She’ll sometimes be hanging out with Princess Raine but is often seen hanging out with a variety of foals her age, as she is extremely extroverted.
