Welcome to another instalment of the Random Character Art series, wherein I redesign a random character from my roster that has never been depicted by me before- and today, it is the turn of Xin Yi!
This was in effect a full and complete rework, and change of species. Initially, Xin Yi was a Kirin, but instead I decided to lean into the dragon-side more and make her a Kirin/Dragon hybrid.

Quote: “Do not fear, I am not here to cause trouble- I am simply going to rest up for an hour or so before I start the next leg of my journey. I will not bother anyone and will remain unobtrusive. In exchange, I will answer any and all reasonable questions that you may have while I am here. Are these terms acceptable?”
Dignified, honourable, respectful, and well spoken… These are not words that you would normally use to describe most dragons of any kind. But in this case, they are not only accurate, but they are well deserved indeed
Xin Yi is a fairly enigmatic character within my AU, and not much is truly known about her. This is not intentional, and Xin will happily speak about her past with anyone who will spend their time with her. Xin can come across as rather frightening, as she is so much larger and longer than an average pony or Kirin mare.
Add to that her long, sharp teeth, her reptilian eyes, and it is understandable why she gets run out of towns and cities on occasion by frightened locals terrified that she may suddenly snap and make a meal of them.
Xin, understandably, is upset by these accusations and what is being implied, but all things considered, she takes it in good grace.
A full bio is being worked on for this character to flesh out her personality and history further.
