So i’ve been thinking of the intimate ways ponies show affection depending on their breed (doesnt have to be in a relationship).
Unicorns touch horns, pegasai interlace feathers or their primaries, and earth ponies do kind of like hard touch/pressure leans on each other.
It’s a nonverbal I love you, which could be romantic or platonic, but either way i care for you deeply.

Cute interbreed moments: A unicorn just lays? Their horn across the others face or really anywhere they can reach. Or just pokes them randomly. A pegasai always without thinking touches their partner with their wing tips. Cute when walking to the store, terrifying in the middle of the night. Also wings draped over you in the winter? Nice, warm, comfy. Summer? Hot, stifling, sweaty. Well unless your a pegasai too. Earth ponies give firm huggs and cuddles. And sometimes when walking together the earth pony well lean against the other. Cute. But some times they lean to much and cause them both to fall. Or just dead weight on top of the struggling non- earth pony.
No matter how you show affection, romantic or platonic. Tell someone you love them! Happy Hearts and Hooves Day!!
