This was actually a commission, paid for by :iconPrussiAntique:, who got tired of waiting around for me to get to changeling headcanons and just outright payed me to hurry up and get my act together. :D

I had to spend a while sketching and generally just playing around with things, trying to figure out how I wanted to do Changelings. I knew I wanted them to look fairly insectoid and monstrous, at least the un-reformed ones, but I wasn’t quite sure how to do that for a while. the final product ended up being almost more hell on my wrists than the typical feathered character, but I like how it turned out.

For the final stage in this sequence, I wanted to do the version of Chrysalis from the s9 finale, powered up from the magic in Grogar’s bell. I do appreciate the fact that they changed her design a bit for the occasion, but I wanted to do more because I’m extra like that.
