By the pictured point in her studies of the Hippocampi, Sunset is beginning to fall for Adagio, and vice versa, each in her own subtle way. As she learns more about the complexity and depth of emotion, Adagio realizes the value of recognizing Sunset’s low moods and being there for her.
 
So, on this day in particular, did Adagio recognize Sunset’s sadness and suggest they skip school? Yes.  
Did Sunset fret about playing hooky, as good intellectuals are wont to do? She did.  
Did Adagio blow that right off and postulate that they hop the fence at Diamond Beach? Indeed.  
Did Sunset point out that she and her fish pod are in no way permitted by the owners of Diamond Beach to set hoof, fin or whathaveyou upon the sand? Yep.  
Did the pair hop right over that fence and settle in anyway? You betcha.  
Did they spend the majority of the day there, Adagio enjoying the freedom of her true form, Sunset getting in a bit of Hippocampus therapy? They did.  
Did security eventually show up and demand that the pair vacate the premises right that very second? Gosh yes.  
Did Adagio bestow upon them a roar that provoked the guards to flee like termites from a burning nest? Oh yeah.  
Did the duo get the hell off of the beach before security returned with reinforcements? You bet your ass they did.  
Did Sunset then report to her journal about the events of a pleasant day out, only for the page to be vandalized by the gel-pens of a sister scorned and a certain shipper-on-deck? Y’know, it happened a lot like that. X3
