Day 17, Research Project: Blue Tide
“Finally resolved the ‘dusty specimen cabinet’ issue. As it turns out, my sealing measure had sprung a leak, allowing dust to enter through the pipe whenever it wasn’t running. I have adjusted my procedure for this and added a new pipe to the mechanism, allowing it to funnel air through for a two-stage sealing process. Results thus far have been promising, but I have tasked Gomorrah with observation.
I’ve returned to my studies on physical attraction with an outfit that I find rather comforting, though in a way I can’t quite understand. Perhaps it is the typical depiction of a witch in Equestrian culture and history, powerful sorcerers and creators of hexes that exacted vengeance on all who wronged them. I find comfort in the ‘powerful sorcerer’ part, of course, as I have no necessity for cursing someone if they become a problem.
That is why I have assistants, after all. They do make quite nice test subjects at times when I require a tougher specimen than what I have off-hand. Splint, Steel and Vegas do continue to impress as well, though I will gather my personnel review papers before I enter that tangent.
Now, to invite Splint over and start looking into the magics of the Underworld. Perhaps this will inspire him to draw on his latent talent?”
