My boy Ludu has a headcanon (which converges nicely with JG proper) pertaining to the poor little crazy pone called Screwy. Once a normal filly, she was captured and enslaved by a pack of criminal Diamond Dogs and used for cheap mining labor. She was rescued after many years, but the damage to her psyche has been done. Now Screwy only knows how to behave like a dog, but at least she is a good puppy.

Screwy resides at the same facility as Diamond Tiara’s mother Yardley. Mama Yardley is very kind to the little pony-pup, and it turns out Screwy recognizes the older mare’s progeny when she sees/smells it. DT doesn’t know what to make of this kind of attention…her own cat might think himself a dog, but that doesn’t make Diamond any less of a cat person.
