Rainbow Dash escaped, and after several minutes of swimming, she arrived to a secluded part of the beach. There, she dragged onto the sand and sat, she didn’t care if breathing air hurt. Rainbow contemplated and became absent minded for a minute or two. She felt her pain, she felt remorse for hitting Rarity and pain in her face, the fashion gal knew how to fight back. Rainbow sighed and took a scoop of water with her hands and moisted her earfins. The pain eased, but the sadness grew. She couldn’t stop thinking about the very possible permanence of the spell. She feared evil magic the most, and was accustomed to fighting it, with her friends… she was not accustomed to be affected by said evil magic. She grabbed her tail in a hug and buried her head in the part of the tail where her knees would have been, if they still existed. She started to cry… She was confused and in fear… when suddenly she heard somebody approaching from behind. It was Trixie, in her swimsuit, making one of her great-and-powerful braggadocio-walks. Rainbow turned around and saw her, and her long beautiful legs…
 
Hi Rainbow Dash! It is a magnificent afternoon to go for a walk at the beach, don’t you think?, Trixie said  
Rainbow Dash tried to make an unexpressive face, but her blacked eye and recently cried out face betrayed her.  
Yeah… sure… Trixie, responded Rainbow.  
Err… I think you have had a rough day. uh? Got into a fight again?, continued Trixie, trying her best to sound worried but couldn’t avoid adding a bit of mocking in her tone.  
Yeah, I got into a fight with one of my best friends… didn’t go pretty… and if you don’t mind, Trixie I want to be alone.
 
Trixie got genuinely worried, and very confused. It was kinda normal for Rainbow to get into fights and get hurt and all, it was normal that she sometimes tried to do things on herself, after all, Trixie heard that it was RD who escaped the cruise ship on a lifesaving boat, went to an island and discovered the portal to Equestria, months ago. But something was not right about Rainbow Dash’s emotional state… nor body state. She looked bigger and stronger than usual and… why was she wearing a mermaid suit? And why did the mermaid suit twitched and moved as if alive? It was a very good mermaid suit…
 
Sigh… Look Rainbow Dash, after I became friends with Sunset, I try to be friendly with other people, even if they owe me an electric guitar…  
Rainbow Dash got annoyed at the reference.  
So, maybe after you get a hold of yourself, would you like going for a walk? I know a perfect place where they can give you an excellent pedicure. Look at mine…. Said Trixie, but as soon as she said all that, she felt Rainbow’s wet, cold hands on her calves and she fell to the sand and then Rainbow Dash dragged her to the waves. Trixie screamed and in a few seconds they were already underwater, some 3 meters below. Trixie felt her sandals fall off and a weird, burning sensation on her thighs and abdomen, and she heard cracks in her knees. Rainbow Dash let her go and swam around, casually, never making a stroke, Trixie noted, but making the mermaid tail of the “costume” move around like a dolphin’s tail. She definitely could not see RD’s knees, and then she realized she was underwater holding her breath. Trixie tried goind upwards, but her lower half was not responding as it should. Trixie screamed again and let the air go, and she felt the water enter her mouth and was surprised she could breathe, instead of the horrible sensation of drowning. Rainbow Dash watched in delight as Trixie transformed. She assumed an inverted stance and got near Trixies transforming calves and feet.
 
Excuse me Trixie, but from here I can’t see your pedicure… Rainbow Dash said, mocking the soon-to-be-mermaid.
