Before her banishment and today on her restoration, on the night of the Summer Sun, Luna presided over the festival of Midsummer Night. Ponies lit bonfires and spread dyed dust in the air, bathing the forest clearings in coloured clouds, scattering the light of the fire and the moon. They decked themselves in glowing paint and flowers and sang and danced and loved in the moonlight and beheld what it was to be alive.
