While his sister and her friends tear it up in the sky, Shining Armor is directly in the middle of the battle, the ship he commands one of the most powerful in the Equestrian Navy. Even with this, he yearns for the war to end and to be with his wife, Cadence, in which his ship is of the same name. Here, the RES Princess Cadence leaves Mare Island Naval Yard after receiving a modernization to keep her up to speed with present day technology. Her aft 15in guns were removed and replaced with a command center with SAMs, rocket launchers, and AA Guns. She has also been equipped with SPY-1 Radar and 3 20mm Phalanx CIWS. The forward 15in guns are now able to fire guided shells, which are extremely accurate against even the smallest of water craft.
 
Note: Most of the ship’s superstructure was heavily inspired by modern Russian naval architecture, with some American parts mixed in.
