Hello again everyone, sorry for a long absence…in the last three months I’ve been trying to make some adjustments to my life, which I might discuss further once things have calmed down over here. But first things first: Halloween is right around the corner, and it’s about time I started posting my Halloween 2024 commissions! ^^

And to start us off: a lovely little YCH entry involving Discord and Eris ready for a spree of chaotic capers on this most festive of nights! ^^

In case you’re wondering: I know that Eris is usually imagined simply as R63 Discord, but I’ve personally always headcanoned her as a spirit-daughter that he created with his magic and will. The show itself isn’t entirely clear - and perhaps somewhat appropriately (given the character in question) rather inconsistent - just to what degree the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony is actually supposed to be a spirit and how much he’s a physically entity like a mortal, or at least a demigod like the royal sisters.
But we do know he has the ability to conjure and create things that can act and exist independently of him with his powers, so in my own personal headcanon he created Eris, a being mirroring his own image albeit much younger and weaker then him. Perhaps originally created as a servant simply to aid him and follow his commands, but since Discord is clearly capable of affection and love, I think over time he came to feel some for her - if not as her father, then at least as a mentor, similar to Celestia’s and Twilight’s canonical relationship.

All of that is simply to explain the context behind why this picture isn’t self-ponydox. <:P

So a night of Father-Daughter bonding awaits, as both of them find all manner of ways to make mischief around Equestria, making the celebrations a little more exciting and terrifying then usual, and scarpering away with buckets full of candy! >:D
