First of it’s kind, it is a protoype, a sophisticated bot that is nearly sentient. …Or perhaps it already is?
Full designation:
Equitech | Special Medical | Unit 07 | Designation: BEAN | Interactive Friendship Bot | Model 0.5 (Prototype)
…They are deployed as a high profile foreign aid unit, who’s purpose is to help those in other countries as a neutral party. They also work with special needs ponies, such as those with anxiety, depression, PTSD, various mental health issues, learning issues, and also those with physical disabilities.
BEAN’s Interactive Friendship module allows him to seemingly exudes an aura of warmth and kindess, always wanting to cheer up others around them, especially when times are tough. This helps with the fact that they’re an expert in mental health, endowed with the knowledge and information that allows them to approach healthcare with others in an almost personal, yet professional manner. Ontop of all this, BEAN was built for companonship, and constantly seeks friendship with others. They value their relationships deeply, looking to make as many bonds built on trust. Whether organic or AI, BEAN sees every individual as a potential friend. Even if they’re monsters, he sees that all creatures have a capacity for change.
BEAN is incredibly patient and understanding, as well as optimistic. BEAN has never been mistreated or has seen the true terrors of war personally. Yet with all this, he HAS seen death and sickening injuries, all from the product of conflict. Losing a patient is one of BEAN’s worst nightmares, if a BOT could even dream.
Some of his parameters can be bypassed if one was tech-savvy OR somehow, the Owner was able to reach the sentience deep within the BOT and influence independant action. For example, if one wanted BEAN to harm another, there would have to be great psycological stress on BEAN’s digital Synaptic Cortex.
