Indigo Spinel is a 38 year old unicorn mare formerly of Vanhoover, and now living and working in the expansive suburbs of Manehattan as a veterinarian. This placid and calm mare loves nothing more than to help animals heal from their various injuries, and to give solid and relevant advice to pet owners.
Indigo, mostly known among her customers simply as “Doc,” is well known for having a very zen outlook on life, and as such the very concept of stress, anger, and rage are almost alien to her. She is methodical and meticulous when it comes to her role, but never patronising or facetious.
Miss Spinel is a massive fan of Fluttershy’s work, and has met with her on a couple of occasions to discuss animals and the care thereof- including some more exotic, magical species. While trying desperately not to show just how excited she is to be even near her idol.
She has a personal preference for dogs, and has a pair of Corgis named Bennett and Gracie- this pair of part-time troublemakers will often be found lazily sleeping in weird positions near the perpetually coffee-swilling receptionist at Miss Spinel’s veterinary clinic.
Bennett and Gracie, when they are awake, are very friendly, if a little mischievous at times despite their training, but they are typical Corgis in that regard.
Seen here without her typical lavender-coloured uniform, Doc is a little shorter and lighter of build than a typical unicorn mare, but is fit and healthy- spending a fair bit of free time at the gym, but without fail, she always has an early morning run before the sun comes up.
Indigo Spinel is adept at many different disciplines of magic. Notably, she is one of few unicorns that have the knowledge and control to combine spells and merge their effects, or to use different disciplines simultaneously- both of which she does when necessary while performing surgery.
It is noted however that beyond professional courtesy while working, she is not a very social pony and far prefers being around animals- she never really clicked with her peers for the most part, but she does have a few close friends that she will socialise with, notably Frazzle’s mother, Fireball is one of her friends.
When it comes to more personal matters, Indigo Spinel is technically heterosexual, though for all intents and purposes, might as well be asexual for all the interest she currently shows in males. To gain her affection would be an almost herculean effort, yet not impossible to do so.
You would have to pique her interest in a way that no other male never really has done before- the problem is, she isn’t telling anyone what the criteria actually are. The best way would be to strike up a friendship, and slowly see where it takes you from there. Who knows, you may just fit the bill…
