Long headcanon warning ⚠️😁

I love Amending Fences so much, it is probably my favorite all-time episode of all. And I have headcanoned Twilight to be Moondancer’s long-lost sister who reunited with her following their career separations that pretty much broke their sisterhood and friendship (Twilight still went on to Canterlot to attend Celestia’s Gifted Unicorns school; but Moonie stayed behind and became a librarian as books were a shared passion of theirs). The cream-colored, messy maned unicorn grew to resent her sister for seemingly abandoning her and the rest of her close friends prior to meeting the Mane Six (and also for her alicorn ascension she became greatly jealous of, suspecting her sister was simply one-upping her); thus bringing about the strife the episode presented. Moondancer and Twilight’s middle sister and second youngest child of Twilight Velvet and Night Light, Morning Roast, tried at first to be a peacemaker, as her sisters argued long and hard about Twilight leaving home (as Shining Armor, the eldest, had already left to join the Equestrian Royal Guard); but seeing they would not yet reconcile and likely force her to pick a side, Roast decided to remain home but attend college as well. It was there that she fully began to master her cutie mark talent of coffee making and eventually opened her own coffee store. ☕

When the events of Amending Fences brought Twilight and Moondancer back together, and in turn healed their friendship (and more importantly, their sisterly bond), Roast was present at the birthday party of their youngest sibling and was gladly welcoming of seeing her dear sisters again (even if Moondancer was so happy for it, she subsequently introduced her as a new acquaintance). But Twilight smiled along and put no question to it, as she herself was simply happy to be all back together. Roast met the Alicorn princess and congratulated her, before leaving for her coffee business metropolis in Manehattan, same as Rarity’s fashion hotspot. 💎
