For the uninitiated, allow me to explain.
 
The Monster Girl Encyclopedia is a series of Japanese books and artwork set in a fantasy world where a succubus has taken over as a Demon Lord, and in doing so, turned all the world’s monsters into lustful feminine versions called “Mamano”. The first book, and most of the artwork, sort of act like a guide to each type of creature.
 
Now, let’s break it down here.
 
~Twilight = Succubus  
Succubi personalities and appearances vary greatly. They are extremely powerful in the use of magic, and can transform women into other succubi.
 
~Rainbow Dash = Thunderbird  
Thunderbirds are the fastest of the Harpy race, and can generate electrical currents in their bodies. They love to fly around mountains and ravines.
 
~Pinkie Pie = Mimic  
A very cheerful creature, these like to disguise themselves as treasure chests, and surprise people.
 
~Rarity = Vampire  
Strong willed and stubborn, vampires are aristocratic monsters having magic skills almost equal to succubi. They are weakened in sunlight, and can loose self control when given garlic.
 
~Fluttershy = Alice  
Alice succubi are rare mutations, acting childlike and meek. Very few exist. But don’t be fooled. They’re still succubi, and will attack men like one, even if they won’t remember doing so afterwards.
 
~Applejack = Lizardman  
Lizardmen are strong willed and a bit on the stubborn side. They pride themselves as athletic warriors, but also train in cooking and other household tasks too. Be warned. Beat one in battle, and she’ll demand you marry her on the spot.
 
~Sunset Shimmer = Manticore  
Manticores are ferocious, aggressive, and cruel. They delight in making people fear them, especially men. But underneath, they’re quite cuddly. You just have to get past layers of meanness and attitude to get to it.
 
~Cadance, Luna, and Celestia = Lilim  
The absolute most powerful of all the monster girls, and the princesses of the Succubi race (being the daughters of the Demon Lord herself). They have the power to turn any women into any kind of monster they wish.
