Original Description:
design notes:
-small but round
-small town gal to international celebrity gem horse
-crystals grow on top of skin and do not hurt, small ones can be removed if careful
-painted red hooves!
-farsighted and needs glasses
-she also has a cloak, but i didn’t draw it to allow for more visibility on her body
-rainbow power gave her a streak of pale blue in her mane. rainbow power can’t be dyed out like grey hairs, so rarity gets very offended if anyone dares to mistake the pale streaks for grey hairs.
Rarity was born to a long line of full-blooded unicorns, who have long horns, slender deer hoves, lion tails, and goat beards. they’re graceful and dainty and typically small, but rarity was born earlier than expected and was born very small. her parents were worried that their baby wouldn’t live, but she did! Rarity doesn’t have dwarfism, like pinkie pie, but she’s still … a little too small. she also developed farsightedness very early on as a filly that only got worse as time went on. as a filly, rarity wasn’t very out of the oordinary. perhaps smaller than the average foal, perhaps a little farsighted, so what? her parents were relieved.
as she matured, some of her unique features became more obvious. she had a very fine coat, and did not ever grow a silky coat or beard like the rest of her family. she remained fairly little, and although she’s put on some weight (the girl stress-eats ice cream) that doesn’t distract from her beauty. despite her un-pure-blooded-unicorn-ness, she’s regarded as one of the most lovely ponies in equestria! <3
her special talent is finding gemstones! the fashionista thing was her own desicion, she could have been a miner. anyway,
her small body was a bit too much for her powerful magic, and crystals began to grow on her body as she aged. they don’t hurt, they’re not like poking through her skin they’re just on top of her, and she somtimes picks them off and uses them in garments that are more personal. a little of herself , literally, in this dress for a friend.
can you tell rarity is my favorite horse yet
