Agreed, I hope they remain true to that commitment as the years go on. Because make no mistake, the same kind of people who ruined DB will try to infiltrate the moderation team of this site one day, sooner then you might think even. And when that day comes they need to be able to tell them “no, fuck off” and remain resolute on that answer no matter how many tantrums they throw or “-ist” or “-ism” buzzwords they throw at them. They cannot bend the knee no matter what, else it’s only a matter of time before this place ends up like Derpi…

Due to my lack of delving into the forums at all for the most part I generally don’t know anyone on there or what they do. I do see you all throwing around several names of people here but I have no clue who any of them are in relation to current or even past events.
 
I am very unlearned in the who’s who of derpi management/mods.

Yeah. This color scheme was a bit off-putting for, like, two minutes but then it started growing on me. I usually just set a website to dark mode right away and never look back but this is a nice compromise between “not eye-searing” and “has color”. It also means no more missing black text on transparent backgrounds.
 
And DB is kind of a garbage fire at this point. I want to believe that Raptorshy and her friends can fix it but it seems like things will at best just sort of remain as they are for the foreseeable future and at worst slowly drift further and further into the dark.

Wow… reading through some of these comments I didn’t realize it was getting that out of hand over on derpi. While I rarely ever got on the forums over there I did notice some craziness in the comments on various images that were a bit odd coming from mods. Seeing that it went that far though is just not right by any means… mods are supposed to uphold the rules and make sure they are followed within reason. Not push their own ideas and beliefs about stuff.
 
I have also been poking around here more then derpi atm… it has clearly devolved into chaos over there now with the vast amount of DNPs and just trolling everywhere now. Hopefully this place keeps true to it’s goals (repository of pony stuffs) and doesn’t get all political or anything.
 
I also like the pink/purple theme here. :D

In a way, I pity people like that. To think that a person could have so little value in their life that they think this is a worthwhile and productive use of their precious time.

Yeah knowing TSP has no power here is a huge weight off the shoulders, he’d always pop in to tell everyone how to feel. I remember me and another user were chatting and I made a joke about said user, we were completely on the same page and he found it funny, then TSP came and was immediately at my throat, saying shit like I’m a piece of shit nobody would miss if I died, everyone in the thread was taken aback, the user I was chatting with had to tell him to fuck off and that he wasn’t offended.

I’m not aware of the situations you’re referring to, and the link you sent me resulted in a 403. But as I understand it Civil Forfeiture basically lets police take possessions from someone they suspect from committing a crime without a warrant, essentially legalised robbery.

I knew the mods on DB where full of shit, but I just assumed they where basic-bitch normie progressives who just virtue signal to stay part of the clique. Didn’t realise they’d gone full violent commie nutjob. >.<

Yeah it was pretty bad, I made two comments “Yeah keep fighting the good fight by attacking the elderly” on a pro riot post and I linked a video of rioters attacking an old woman, the other was me explaining that police need reform but demonizing them all won’t help anything and will only make true reform even harder, I said it’s better to work with the good cops to make a change than to attack them all and hurt everyone. I got banned for several days for that and when I got back all my badges had been taken away as well.
 
I decided enough was enough and had all my art removed from the site and I added myself to the DNP list, I’ll be moving my animations here shortly.
 
But yeah watching Nebbie, Byte, Itsthinking and Teaspoon lose their shit in their Discord server made it pretty clear this was going to happen eventually. Me and a few others have been saving screencaps of their conversations, which range from wanting to slit republican politicians throats, putting people in Gulags, to saying whites should be slaves and the country needs to be burned down.

I wasn’t even aware of that. I knew the mods on DB where obviously biased in favour of a certain political agenda but to go so far as to ban users for not thinking all cops are bastards? Jeez…
