saving ponies, baking things, family business  
 
Ta-daaa, my take on the cakes fam! went with adult models for the cake twins simply bc drawing on a bigger base is easier (especially since i made their designs more complicated) Also, i’ve seen a lot of people headcanon Pound as like a buff strong guy so naturally, i went for the opposite!  
 
Pumpkin Pie and Pound Cake are soft spoken, timid young ponies who both take over their parents’ shop later in their life.Their talents lay in making sweets and preparing seasonal treats, with Pumpkin specializing in baking while Pound takes better liking in decorating. They are very close, and do love to just cook and chill together, especially Pumpkin. She’s a meek little pony who, much like Fluttershy, has a hard time making new friends. She’s the most comfortable around Sugarcube’s customers, being able to relax and make small talk while paking their orders. Pound is way better at socializing, he’s a more talky one out of two. He thrives at organizing festival activities and decorating for parties, which gives him an opportunity to meet new ponies and make connections without really trying. Still, he is much quieter then his older sisters, and almost never stays for the party after he sets everything up.  
Their older siblings Pinkie Pie and Surprise are twins, too! Surprise’s destiny is to bring new ideas to the world (she came up with quite a few innovative flying tricks!), while Pinkie’s talent is party planning and generally bringing joy to others. Pinkie, while being an earth pony, has a good part of unicorn blood, which gives her some magical abilities that earth ponies normally don’t have; “Pinkie’s sense” being the most prominent one. Pumpkin has a similar flair as well, though for her it takes form of prophetic dreams.  
 
Ponka and Aj aren’t related in my headcanon btw, i just don’t really see any reason for it?? it sorta came out of nowhere in the show, kind of like zephyr breeze did later
