Night Song’s Curiosity/Thunder’s Annoyance

“No.”  
Night Song expected Thunder to refuse but not that quick. “You didn’t even know what I was going to ask yet.” She whined, if anyone was good at getting their way, it was Night Song but it seemed Thunder was immune to her pleading. She had come to ask Thunder for help concerning a certain brother of hers and found Thunder outside her school working on her jeep. She was under the hood on the ground.  
“Yeah I do, and no I won’t help you.” Thunder rolled her eyes as she tried to concentrate on fixing her car. She had better things to do than help Night Song get her weird little brother to go out with her. Her weird little brother being Rainstorm. Rainstorm was younger than her and Lightning but older than Bright Wave and Prism Voltage and the only one of her siblings who didn’t share the same biological father. He was often antisocial and didn’t hang out with much of anyone other than family. Bright Wave had been helping him and even convinced him to take Thunder’s place in Lance’s band after she went off to college. However from what she had heard from her boyfriend (Lance), Rainstorm showed up for practice, offered to clean the music room everyday, then left. He was a good guitarist like their mother but pretty much only took the spot to make Bright Wave happy.  
“He keeps telling me,” Night Song made quotation marks with her hands, “maybe later and Bright Wave is no help at all. You would think since she tries to get him to be more social that she wouldn’t be so against him having a girlfriend.” Thunder rolled out from under her car, surprised to find Bellatrix next to Night Song. Normally she didn’t get involved in an romantic/dating stuff, especially with Night Song.  
“Heya Bellatrix. What are you doing here?” Thunder said as she stood up and brushed the dirt and dust off her clothes. Bellatrix mumbled something and Night Song elbowed her in the side. Bellatrix glared as she turned to Thunder.  
“Lost a bet and now I have to help the one who clearly can’t take a hint.” She pointed at Night Song, her voice filled with sarcasm. “Besides I’m Bright Wave’s best friend and she won’t tell me anything about what’s going on with him. What made you think she would tell you?” Bellatrix had been known for her outward and spunky attitude, never saying no to a dare and constantly betting on something. The opposite of her twin sister Elizabeth, who was a near copy of their mother Twilight. Bellatrix wasn’t even her real name, it was Isabella but she had started going by Bellatrix when high school began.  
Night Song rolled her eyes but replied anyway.  
“If he would say no I wouldn’t bug him about it anymore. But this gal wants a chance with~~” Thunder quickly cut her off. “I swear if you call my brother anything along the lines of cute or hot, I will puke in my tool box and use your curls to clean it out.”  
“You don’t have to be so disgusting about it!” Night Song said as she held her hands up in surrender while slowly moving back from Thunder. She and her mother Adagio took great pride in her long and luxurious curly hair.  
“If Bright Wave wouldn’t help you, what makes you think I will?” Thunder complained. She wanted to get back to working on her rusty, old, her pride and joy, jeep. Bright Wave was the closest person to Rainstorm. Her best friend Bellatrix after that but Bright Wave wouldn’t even share anything about it with her, Bellatrix knew about Rainstorm about as much as Lil Cheese did and he was a year ahead of Thunder and Lightning and they were in college so she pretty much knew nothing about him. Now it was Night Song’s chance to get exactly what she needed.  
“Because I know that you and Lance have been snooping around and watching him.” She had caught Lance watching the music room after he had “left” and Rainstorm was cleaning, aside from humming and scrubbing he didn’t do anything. When he had made his way to the door Lance had panicked and walked right into Night Song. After threatening to tell Rainstorm, Lance had spilled everything he and Thunder had been doing since he joined the band. While Lance kept an eye on him during school, Thunder kept watch at home.  
“We are not!” Thunder retaliated. “We’re making sure he isn’t doing things he shouldn’t be doing when he sneaks off to who knows where.” Rainstorm was smart and covered his tracks well, while they had figured out he vanished for hours on end, during weekends, afternoons, and even in the middle of the night, they hadn’t been able to find out where he was going.  
She leaned on the wall next to the jeep. “What have you two found out so far?”  
TL;DR:  
Thunder is interrupted by Night Song and Bellatrix when Night Song wants to know why Thunder’s brother is leading on on and know Thunder and her boyfriend are trying to find out what he is up to. Bellatrix lost a bet and is helping Night Song.  
A bit of an intro to some of the other relevant background characters of Rainstorm’s story, others being Autumn Orchard, Lilac, Lil’ Cheese, Prism Voltage, and mostly Bright Wave. Still working on it but hope to be able to share it soon!
