Original Description:
In Sweden, each December there are two “julkalendrar” (christmas calendars?) on TV and radio respectively. In each of these, a story is told in twenty four, fifteen minute episodes, starting december 1st. The story is usually somewhat christmas themed, but how much ranges from it just happens to take place during christmas to it’s set in Santa’s factory. (…The best one was “Dieselråttor och sjömansmöss”, don’t even at me.)
Anyway. I’ve been planning on doing something small in the vein of this, writing shorter oneshot stories about my nextgen cast and posting one-a-day for december until christmas eve. It was going to be lighthearted, exploring a bunch of small scenarios and characters with maybe a two-parter finalé for christmas. I’d already started too late with it, due to work being an emotional black hole, but it still shouldn’t be any problem.
…but then I kinda got sucked into a longer storyline. See, I kept wanting to do stories taking place after certain events, but I couldn’t because I hadn’t reached that point yet, and not set up everything needed for the story to make any sense. So I started to make the prerequisite stories, only to realise I needed even more prerequisite stories for those stories, and uhhh… yep, I guess this is the story I’ll be telling over twenty four days ^^; It’s not inherently christmas themed, but I can switch some scenes around to take place at Hearth’s Warming, so that counts, right? =P
