Rarity: Spikey, what’s wrong? Why you look so upset  
Spike: Rarity… I’m not sure if I’m good enough for you, i mean… I heard ponies keep saying that you and AJ could make a perfect couple, even if it’s true or not, put maybe is no good for you to be dating a dragon, it might destroy your career, I don’t think we can actually be together… how stupid, a pony and a dragon together, huh?  
Rarity: … Spike, first of all, I’m not into mares, Applejack is only a dear friend, my best friend, almost like a sister, but only that; second, how can you say you’re not good enough?! You have proven yourself, that you’re more than just a dragon, and about my career, I can dare say if it wasn’t for your help from all of those years, my business wouldn’t been as known as now, you see, I wouldn’t even dream a life with you not in it, I’m so thankful to have you in my life.  
Spike: sigh thank you.. even if I truly want to be with you, I can’t help but feel like… the world is against me being with you…  
Rarity: I don’t care if all the world is against us, I love you Spike and only you, years ago I might took the Fire Ruby, but you.. you took my heart, Spikey-Wikey.
