Quick Size Comparison Sheet
So I’m gonna explain how I utilize character heights in the way I draw. It’s been a very curious topic among many who wanted to know for a while now. This is just a quick badly drawn sketch of anthropomorphic height comparisons between all characters and how they’re presented in this reality of Equestria and also compared to human height. Humans are shorter than everyone with the exception of children and adult characters who are generally just short. All Equestrian characters completely differ from what a human looks like: bigger hands, heads, eyes, mouths, assets if female (or femboys like Rinzelo), muscles if certain males, etc. It’s to not make them look too human in appearance.
The Mane 6: The Mane 6 are all equal height except for Twilight (alicorn status) Fluttershy and Applejack. Fluttershy overshadows her friends in height for obvious reasons.
Kids/Short characters: The children and short characters are almost as expected at height compared to an adult with the exception of their large heads and eyes. Applebloom would be the only kid at near adult height.
Dragons and Griffons: The dragons and griffons vary in height. Some dragons are giants, some are small. Griffons can be tall, but short as well.
Derpy: Derpy is in this category alone because she’s in a league of her own that’s meant to be the very tall, strong and sexy, but very unintelligent character (think Taokaka from Blaz Blue). Her whole gimmick is to be clumsy and cute with a strong obsession with muffins while accidentally getting in clumsy situations or doing unawarily sexual things that can get a man off unintentionally. >>2476241
Zebras: Zebras are at the height of the griffons, but Zecora is a tall one among many of them.
Breezies: All Breezies are still canonically tiny, but there are just a few who are able to grow at larger heights.
Royalty: Celestia is a goddess so it’s natural that she would be very tall. Luna and her niece Cadance are directly below her. Maud is slightly below Celestia’s height.
Queen Chrysalis: Lastly, Queen Chrysalis herself is an overtowering giantess that fits her royal and villianess status. Quick note, she’s actually supposed to be much bigger in the picture, but I needed to add everyone else in or they would be specks. She can take giant steps over large areas of land and crush tiny houses with one of her feet. She has to often shrink herself down to a decent size to communicate easier with certain Equestrians. She normally will mind-control passerbys to massage her feet for the pleasure or answer her questions. Looking directly up at the dark giantess up close if she doesn’t destroy you before then means you’ll be blessed with looking at something MUCH bigger on her…
Extra notes: With how big most of the Equestrian’s hands are some like Celestia, Maud, Luna, and even Applebloom’s can grab and lift a full grown human up with one hand without any shrinking beforehand. Earth pony child characters like Diamond Tiara and silver Spoon can easily upheave or grasp a man with their blessed strength.
Now why did I choose to go this route of having nearly every character outnumber a regular human in height? Two reasons: 1, because fantasy welcomes how a reality is presented and it’s so fun to play with stuff like this. 2…because of the artist all over who do the same thing. I’ve seen over the years how height differences are used for any characters drawn so I took inspiration from the idea of doing the same. There’s a picture somewhere of a very tall anthro Fluttershy mating with a human and it was actually well done.
Last silly note…if a human were to mate with an anthro in this version of Equestria, the Equestrian has to be on the bottom or in specific positions at all times. They’re heavy in this reality so a human will be crushed by almost any Equestrian was on top nor will not much pleasure be felt by either side. Instant death if it’s any Earth pony, Chrysalis, Maud, or Celestia. They’re that heavy. They must always be on bottom.
