He is infact working with Sam Hyde but claims to have not made any money so far off the ad campaign.

Though it is possible he might’ve been recruited by Sam Hyde. From viewing his channel, I think he is just a chases/tries to draw the attention of various fan groups to see where it goes; who is trying to make his own trolling/attention grabbing antics on his own with his own little character.
And… then he’ll pay Badumsquish to take down the picture?

Nah, you are thinking of something else. It was a VN on Kickstarter, no product was ever released after the Dark Skyes Kickstarter was exposed.
I’m actually starting to question whether this ad was actually advertising an MDE production - the video itself that was part of this scheme seems to be in a similar vein to previous MDE productions, but that might just be due to the creator being a fan of MDE. Same goes for putting the logo in there.
Seems a bit strange that Sam Hyde would be putting a pony on a billboard for a video that is participating in the Mumkey Jones film festival.
Either way, I don’t believe for a second that this costed 40k, but you still probably shouldn’t donate anything to a stunt this unfunny.

I thought the person back then was talking about that other MLP dating site. That site, when I took a look at it, had SCAM written all over it. All of the dating sites that have you pay to send messages to other people are all scams. I’ve actually checked a few of them out, and all of them follow the same type of bullshit, with only a few unique deviations. The thing which all of them had in common, though, is that you had to pay to message other ‘users’, and you got message notifications to you like, 200x more if you had a subscription and cancelled it.
I guess this dude has upped his scamming attempts, in a way. I initially thought that this was just a spoof ad that someone put up to do a funny and donate to the site. I mean, I’m half-tempted to advertise Imbred’s absolute garbage music just to see how much we can laugh at him. It shows that Sam Hyde looked for something obscure that would relate directly with us. It shows he did his homework.
