Loved this too much to leave unvectored.
I personally headcanon Cozy as reforming after the final battle, which in my canon was against the real Grogar. She was forgiven for her evil actions at Season 8’s end and ascended to her alicornship the way Twilight did.
This picture falls into my headcanon as the preview to her ascension, when she realized the error of her ways and asked Twilight for forgiveness in a heartbroken state. Twilight embraced her back and gave her a second chance. :)
I’ll probably write all this out in more detail at some point. c:
