MissFortune is another I’m proud of. It was tricky working off such a terrible hero idea as Mistress Marevelous, whose only ability is a telekinetic lasso.
MissFortune has no superpowers, but her highly trained body is nimble, athletic, and very strong. She’s a classical ninja, not like the magical kind in fiction but one specializing in stealth and misdirection to beguile enemies. As much as I dislike comparisons, she’s kind of a Batman/Solid Snake type. Her primary focus is usually on the mission, so much that she prefers not to dirty her hooves with fighting and end battles before they begin. She’s an expert with tools to help her get around and avoid detection, but she’s no slouch in combat either. If pulled into a fight, her precise movements and strikes make carefully choreographed missteps feel like a string of bad luck for the opponent, which is how she gets her name.
Since Marevelous has a “capturing” motif with her lasso, her counterpart has abilities centered on avoiding capture, so I think it works out well.
