Mulberry decides to check the darkness. Not wanting to enter it herself, she takes the pitchfork and jabs it into the corner.
 
Feeling nothing, she jabs it into a few other spots. There doesn’t seem to be anything there. Getting a second idea, she takes her opened locket and ties it to the pitchfork.
 
She then puts it back into the blackness and looks around. The light reveals a rather small portion of the corner, but from the slight bit she can see there is nothing.
 
While considering what to do next, she hears a knock at the front door downstairs, she also hears some conversation, but can’t quite make it out.
