Fun XD
Welp, imma keep this short as I do intend to address these things in some way in the future, but I wanted to celebrate pride in some way, even if it’s late. Also, I’ll guve mini descriptions for things as they pop up.
Applejack is Bisexual and Demiromantic, meaning that she is sexually attracted to guys and gals and only romantically attracted to those she knows well enough. She’s always struggled with her sexual/romantic orientation, because her family is very traditional in it’s values and she fears the backlash. When she eventually figures out her identity, it takes her a while to come out to her direct family, and only does after her friends supportively push her to. Her family are just as supportive, though AJ has yet to come out to the rest of her family.
Fluttershy is panromantic and grey-asexual, meaning she feels little to no sexual attraction to anyone, and is romantically attracted to people despite their gender. She’s always been very closed off about her sexual and romantic orientation, especially during her time in school. She’s very much afraid of what others would think, though her parents herd does help her accept herself for who she is.
Twilight is panromantic and asexual - this means he feels no sexual attraction to anyone. While she isn’t uncomfortable with her sexuality, her mother struggled greatly with the idea of her daughter being asexual. She comes from a very traditional, and pretty closed minded community, so Twi and Velvet often butt heads.
Pinkie is pansexual, polyamorous and gender fluid, which means her gender identity isn’t fixed to sinhle/multiple/no genders, and she is attracted to more than one person and is usually more fulfilled with having multiple partners (as long as they aren’t uncomfortable). Pinkie is VERY proud of her identity and proudly shows it. Sadly, her highly closed minded father doesn’t accept her as she is and only keeps in contact with her for the rest of his family’s sake.
Rainbow Dash is MtF transgender and a lesbian, which means she is attracted to her own gender and that she was born as a male but identifies as a female. Bow and Windy are… A little too accepting of her identity, and in the past have outed her in front of strangers before she was ready. However, it was thanks to their over the top support that actually helped her transition fully when she was 16, and helped her with anything she needed for years beforehand. For the longest time, she was in denial about being a lesbian - mainly because of her bullies from flight school - even when she hit adulthood, leading her to have a brief but chaotic relationship with Sourin. They ended it on good terms once they realised completely that they just weren’t into one another.
Rarity is bisexual, though tends to be attracted to guys more than gals. She’s very proud of her identity, and is a strong advocate for LGBT+ rights - often participating in Pride events in one way or another. Her parents have always been very nonplussed about these things, just as long as she and her sister are happy.
