Hello!! Since there is so many creatures on Equestria, i decided to divide my series headcanons~ I will only be doing the sapient creatures btw. These are of course not canon and are only my interpretation to these creatures. Headcanons: Something about changelings. Ocellys isn’t here because i already did my hc about changelings
 
rainbow heart 2 Before i start let me say that i don’t like the whole “School of Friendship” concept, like Celestia LITERALLY told Twilight Friendship wasn’t something you could learn at school, but whoops! i really like the young six tho! That’s why in my headcanon they actually are Ambassadors of all the creatures in Equestria, each one representing a creature from their land.(also changed their origins a little bit)
 
Yaks: Yaks could be seen as brutes or rude, but that it’s actually kind of normal in their lands. They have to be though on the inside and the outside to be able to face the cold conditions they live on. Their shawls are something sacred to them, not only it protects them from the cold, it is also knitted by their whole family, as a link to their ancestors and the young yaks. The Ambassador of Yakyakistan is Princess Yona (Yes i made her a princess~) the little sister of Prince Rutherford.
 
Griffons: Extremely grumpy birbs, be careful. The griffons are VERY territorial, and often engage in fights with other of their own species. After centuries of fighting over territory they have decided on sharing one, Griffonstone. Griffons are raised by their elders, their grandfathers, but if you are a stray egg the chances of surviving are few, but for these cases you have someone like Grandpa Gruff! He doesn’t have a family of his own, but he raises the younglings that doesn’t have parents. The Ambassador of Griffonstone is Gallus (I redesigned him a lot, based his cat half?? i guess?? off a snow leopard, and omg wHY WAS HE BRIGHT BLUE?!)
 
Dragons: Tough Lizards. They start very little actually, and start growing up after “the molt. Their rough play is often encouraged since they are little, you have to be like that to survive in the Dragon Lands. They are ruled by the dragon with the most treasure, and that crown is passed down to his descendants, or they fight to win it. Dragons have little pads on their palm of their hands and feet, to be able to walk on hot surfaces, their lashes are often long, to protect their eyes from sand and volcanic ashes. There are two classes of dragons in Equestria, cold weather dragons and hot weather dragons. They are carnivorous (they don’t eat ponies tho!), but they can also sustain themselves through jewels and their energies. The Ambassador of the Dragon Lands is Smolder, the cousin of the current Dragon Lord,Ember
 
Seaponies (for my thoughts on Hippogriffs see here! Hippogriffs-HC): They live in Seaquestria, and are very pacific, even tho after the Storm King event they became very wary of who visited their kingdom. They can change between forms thanks to the Pearl of Transformation, an antique magic object that was given as a gift of the union of Hippogriffs and Seaponys . They are actually really vain, something they share with mermares, they love to indulge into their appearances. During the Storm King event they didn’t age, thanks to the concentrated power of the pearl, now that the pearl is divided, they do. The Ambassador of both Hippogriffs and Seaponies is Lady Silverstream, cousin of Princess Skystar.
 
Mermares(“crazyary.tumblr.com/post/77169…”:hhttps://crazyary.tumblr.com/post/77169753740/jewel-the-mermare-from-mlp-issue-14-was i based them on the mermares from the comics!) Another habitant of the sea, they are very uncommon on Equestria Shores, the inhabit the deepest parts of the ocean, far away from pony sight, in the past they were hunted down because they thought they were Sirens. They resemble a seahorse. Here we have Seashell, the mother of Sandbar and little Coral Currents, both of them can breathe underwater, but lack the merpony appearance, so they look like normal ponies, except that their hair looks wet all the time, half merponies are very uncommon. Mermares can change between land and sea appearances at will, but can’t stay on land much time, they need to be in contact with the water, this is why most of the time Sandbar and Coral stay with their father, Seaweed.
