Was in a bit of a Sunbeam mood the other day, and been wanting to test out a few concepts for him.Mentioned times before, my sleipnir here is a bit of a challenge to figure out how to get to work for an anthro form. First time I drew him as an centaur I had fun letting him still have 8 legs but 4 arms because I had too much fun adding limbs.
Though here’s the possibility of a centaur form for him would be 6 legs and 2 arms, to keep the limb count at 8. Though other option I guess could be 4 arms and 4 legs.More puzzling is the bipedal anthro form. Last time I just drew him with 2 legs and 4 arms for the easiness, as he was condensed down as a chibi making too many limbs a bit much of a challenge so I chickened out and did the easy way.
My thought is that as a sleipinir his extra legs are not a hindrance to him, but trying to draw him as an upright anthro, any extra legs would be difficult to ad in without them being a hindrance to natural movement. That and it would look really awkward. So the option would be to just give him 6 arms to go with 2 legs, though the crazy amount of arms would look over the top and be hard to make natural.
An option is of course just let his anthro form be a centaur.Still leaves me wondering what to do with him as a human, where centaur wouldn’t be a natural option. Though I’m leaning towards him just having extra limbs from a parasitic twin, as that could be the “real life” version of his sleipnir nature as his non-magical human version. All depends on how ya look at the options and concepts.
Just sharing my thoughts here, with some tester doodles of the options for funzies. Sometimes I think a bit too much about concepts I’m not even going to use for anything anyway X3;;Enjoy!
