So, as mentioned, Flutters had a really rough pregnancy. It was kind of expected, y’know, havin’ chaos spawns n all, but that didn’t really change the toll it had on her.
 
When the envitable birth began, pretty much everything went wrong. Fluttershy wasn’t even home, she was visiting Applejack at the time, so Discord wasn’t really in the equation. Then Applejack was the only one around to help, so she couldn’t exactly leave Flutters alone. She sent Fuji to get help, but he was still really young at the time, and there was no telling when he would get help.  
Eventually after a long and painful process, FlutterShy had a little girl and an… egg… okay.
 
When reunited, Discord and Fluttershy agreed they wouldn’t be having another child. Two were enough.
