flurry heart is the first born child of prince shining armor and empress cadence, and the first alicorn to ever be born in the history of equestria. that’s a tall title to put on a filly, and flurry heart feels like she’s never quite been able to fill the horseshoes everyone wants her to. she’s supposed to be exceptional in every way, the perfect pony. brave and smart and kind and true, just like the other princesses – only, she was expected to be that way from the beginning. there was no room for growth or error, no place for mistakes in the eyes of the people. of course, her family supported her and did their best to raise her well, but… flurry heart felt the pressure. her whole life, she’s been plagued with anxiety and stress about being the perfect pony, and while this has forced her to fulfill her role, what was the cost? her sole confidant and best friend is her half-brother gossamer gleam, whom she was raised alongside. she is fiercely protective of him, and to defend him is the only time she breaks her carefully constructed facade of perfectness. when gossamer left to find himself at the changed-ling hive, flurry heart found herself lonely and stressed until her brother returned. she plans to have him as her co-ruler when she ascends the throne.
