The relationship of Pinkie and Discord started before the events of Tirek and NMM, they often hanged around with Fluttershy, and Discord appreciated Pinkie, it was like her was the only one who could understand the true nature of chaos, being kind of chaotic herself, a better playmate that didn’t wanted to control him. When Pinkie and Fluttershy had been sent to the Crystal Empire, he and Fluttershy stopped talking completely, she felt betrayed by him, so he only talked to Pinkie.
 
After Discord gave her a little bit of his chaos (fav.me/ddv8jzb), their relationship became stronger, Discord thought of Pinkie as a worthy equal, and now with a little bit of chaos in her, the party would never end~Pinkie started to spend lots of time with Discord, even disappearing for days with him, Fluttershy worried about this, her only friend was acting strange. When Pinkie broke the news that she was marrying Discord, Fluttershy asked her several times if she was sure about it, and everytime she said yes. They had the biggest wedding the Empire had ever seen, and everything was fine for a while, they were made for each other, until Pinkie started to decline into sadness again, this time her mood swings became stronger, Discord didn’t offered a lot of emotional support.Why was she sad again? Couldn’t she just stay the way she was?, so every time Pinkie felt down he would leave, until Pinkie began to feel better again.
