DM: Yep, that’s pretty much what King Grover said when he found it.

I couldn’t find any specific lore for a couple of these, so… I made some up! You know, like that DM I sometimes claim to be! Hope it all makes sense.

In other news, we’re coming up on the finale of this arc, which means now is a good time to open up a call for guest comics! DM: Since you don’t have much time in-character, I’m just going to start describing the lore that you’d know, and you chime in whenever you figure out who handles that artifact. Starting with Knuckerbocker’s Shell. Legend has it that, long ago, a pony sounded its call to summon a dragon to come to their aid.
Smolder (RT): Couldn’t be more clear. That’s my artifact.
Ocellus (TS): You sure it’s not a pony thing?
Smolder (RT): I’m fairly certain none of the others are the dragon artifact.
DM: The decision’s been made. Next is the Helm of Yksler. It belonged to a legendary warrior whose enemies, upon seeing him and his helm, would lay down their weapons in peace.
Yona (FS): That yak artifact, for sure.
Gallus (RD): “Peace?”
Yona (FS): Legend not say they surrender because warrior was nice.
DM: The Talisman of Mirage. The only artifact that worked in the presence of the Queen’s throne. A defector used this to help prisoners don magical disguises and escape.
Ocellus (TS): …From the hive? Is this the changeling artifact?
DM: If that’s your answer.
Ocellus (TS): I think so?
DM: Then, the Amulet of Aurora. Said to harness the energies of both the blue ocean and the blue sky within its sapphire.
Silverstream (PP): Wow, that’s super the hippogriff artifact! Dibs!
DM: Yeah, that one’s kind of a gimme. Anyway, we have Clover the Clever’s cloak. This cloak has many powerful enchantments upon it, enhancing the wearer’s luck, magic, durability, and intellect.
Sandbar (AJ): Well dang, I want that for myself!
DM: But is it the–
Sandbar (AJ): Yes, I’m saying it’s the pony artifact. Yeesh.
DM: Which just leaves the Crown of Grover, about which is said–
Gallus (RD): Easy pickings.
DM: Are you sure?
Gallus (RD): It’s the last one!
DM: Don’t you want to listen to my lore first?
