Throughout her life, there have been at least two known cases of Sea Foam nearly drowning underwater. This part was the second occasion, before visiting Ponyville for the first time and meeting Max Mustang and reuniting with her friend, Fluttershy.
 
While swimming around looking for sea items, a rock arch collapsed above her, trapping her legs. Though the rocks didn’t sink fast enough to injure her legs, it did make her stuck. As she struggles to get out, she’s already running very low on air and is struggling to stay concious. Last thing she remembers before blacking out was looking upward towards the surface. Fortunately, thanks to Eve the Sea Otter and Holokai, a sea turtle who she has befriended, have managed to rescue her and get her back on land.
 
Despite the harrowing experience, she never loses her love for the ocean and only wishes to find a way to go underwater longer without the fear of drowning. (She’s not a big fan of diving equipment).
 
The first time she nearly drowned was when she was just a filly before earning her Cutie Mark. However, as I fear the thought of seeing a young one drowning might be too sensitive a subject, I won’t likely post it up on my gallary, but I will offer a link to the picture I made if anyone is curious. Let me tell you, this was not easy to put together. It was pretty average in terms of creating a background and materials like the rocks. But the hardest part for me was putting Sea Foam through this and illustrating her struggle. Not easy to put a sweet and caring pony through. (Sorry Max, but considering what you face, its understandable why I can show you injured)
