Fluttershys parents, Sunburst and Tulip Truly were major factors in the first Griffon-Equestrian war, Tulip being the head of the diplomatic attempts to solve the war peacefully, and Sunburst worked as Celestia’s personal guard. They were assassinated by [link] when Fluttershy was 7, she was present during it, and it might have caused her submissive nature. She was adopted by __ <Insert the canon parents of fluttershy when they are shown.
On their actual personalities:
Sunburst was a very overprotective father, and was very close with Celestia, and would tell Fluttershy stories about the princess and how she felt, not just what people thought of her. He enjoyed making people happy, and would tell fun stories so people would laugh.
Tulip was a kind and helpful nurse, who originally was a nurse, during the war, she became involved in diplomacy. She was Nurse Redhearts sister.
