Shrapnell was born into a noble family situated in a wilder part of Equestria where ponies were still hunted by carnivorous creatures. This territory was also bordering the Zebra homelands, this environment made the locals of much tougher stock than those further from the border.
 
When the war began it was these territories that were hit the hardest and where the strongest recruits were gathered from. Shrapnells noble blood kept him out of the infantry and landed him in the officer’s ranks. Shrapnell, however, despised fighting far from the battle and resolved to fight alongside his soldiers. Although it delivered much higher results than most other officers, it was still disapproved by the majority. He would never move higher in the chain of command.
 
Lucky for Shrapnell, someone else had other plans. Shrapnell showed unfaltering bravery and zealous dedication to the war and his soldiers. Shrapnell was also known to never refuse an order nor deviate from said order. A perfect skill set for a new commander.
 
At some point in the war, Shrapnell was ordered to join the program. It was disappointing to see Shrapnell was not ambitious and seemed to almost ignore the leadership role in the terminator program. Nonetheless, when the terminators were unleashed upon the zebras, Shrapnell proved to be an excellent advisor and became Arkangels third in command. Shrapnells loyalty was proven under Arkangels command as he followed every order no matter how dangerous or personal, such as the time he chose to abandon his brother for the mission.
 
Yet for all of Shrapnells dedication, he was hopeless to stop the end of the world.
 
What would happen if he somehow survived? What would he choose to follow? Will his loyalty one day falter?
