Pearl Ponies are a semi-aquatic, genderless species of pony that live on and around an archipelago far from mainland Equestria. They’re easily recognizable due to their unique tails and bioluminescent pearls on their bodies that glow brighter as they age. Their eyes are pearlescent, with no iris or pupil, which made The largest pearl on a Pearl Pony’s chest is what is used in reproduction.
These ponies have a close, family-like bond with others in their tribe, but tend to be very shy toward ponies not of their species and Pearl Ponies in other tribes. They feed on fish and clams and fruits and vegetables they find on the islands.
