See, now Frog is all up in your head. I happen to know that you lie awake in your bed all last night, wondering to the pale moon about the nuances of ballroom dancing in the Junior Gala universe. Well, sleep soundly tonight, dear friends, because Frog-chan is here to deliver! Ballroom is a beloved pastime amongst ponies, especially those who live in Canterlot and other older, traditional towns. When dancing with a partner, the taller pone (regardless of gender or breed) is always the partner who leads. Therefore, it’s wise for any serious dancer to learn how to conduct him or herself in both roles; one never knows with whom one will be expected to dance as life goes on.

In today’s pic we find the little Grandeur twins practicing their ballroom dancing, because they are fancy Canterlot children and it’s a thing that fancy Canterlot children are expected to know how to do. Young Master Dandelion reckons it’s all in good fun, whilst his smaller sister Young Miss Alsesta is all about doing this shit right the first time or not doing this shit at all! As the years progress, the scrawny Grandeur girl ultimately ends up outdoing her brother in the height department. Dandy’s not thrilled that he can no longer lead when he and Zesty dance together, but society has rules so he has to suck it up. Aaaaand, or course, you know as well as I do that Zesty was lying like a cheap throw-rug when she told Franzbrötchen that she couldn’t/didn’t/wouldn’t dance. Of course she can/does/will! She’s Canterlot! And what pone in this or any other universe can resist a mare who can tear up the dance floor? Foto sure as hell can not.

Addendum: For those of you who, like Frog, love you some Dancing With the Stars, I dare to compare the Grandeur twins to the Hough (Houf?) siblings. You know, if the beautiful Hough siblings were in fact gnarly, androgynous mule people with big horns coming out of their weird horse faces.
