Description

Moon, worn thin to the width of a quill,
In the dawn clouds flying,
How good to go, light into light, and still
Giving light, dying.

-Sara Teasdale

This piece was my first attempt at making a complete painting in SAI. You may have seen practice doodles on here and on tumblr, but it was time to start this journey of painting and see where I stand. After many hours, probably ranging close to 24 during this whole week, through trial and (countless) errors I have produced this. I am absolutely amazed by how quickly I caught on and what the outcome is. I learned so much by doing this in both trying to make a style and how to paint. There are still plenty of things I can learn and will like to improve upon, particularly with her goat horns and making metal have a more polished look. You might also know that I love detailing eyes, so I really tried to make them shine just as much in a painting style.
