Baby Anansi was as quiet as grownup Anansi but a lot more curious. He often flew away from his mother because he saw something shiny. His wings weren’t strong but his magic sure was. It carried him as far as the edge of the Everfree.
 
Anansi doesn’t like his wings very much. He doesn’t understand how his right wing works. It’s a branch with spider webs but still carries him from place to place. The issue is that things get stuck in it and weigh him down. Plus it makes horrible cracking sounds when he tries to bend it.
