Emerald starts asking all sorts of questions about the ingredients, asking about their availability, and wondering what he can do and what sort of preparations could be made to get them.
 
This seems to delight Joyride, but nonetheless she holds up her hooves and says, “Whoa, whoa whoa. I appreciate your zeal, but I’ll let you know when I have a plan to get one of the ingredients. I actually have a small lead on how we may get some Love Hibiscus dirt cheap, but I need to ask around about it for sure. Now off to bed with you.”
 
Emerald is then offered the bed in the studio. He asks where she is going to sleep and the unicorn says she’s got her own room, and holds up her key ring again.
 
Emerald gets comfortable under the sheets, and it makes him realize how long it’s been since he’s been in an actual bed. He briefly tries to read the book he grabbed (which is called “Popular Potions”) before setting the book down with a deep yawn. The colt then closes his eyes and falls asleep.
 

 
Emerald wakes up the next day and looks drowsily around. He notices on the table there is an apple, some bread, an empty looking vial, and two keys, one of which is sunflower yellow and the other is rather normal and pale gray. There is also a note. Emerald approaches, and as he bites into the apple.
 
“Hey lil’ Perv. I’ll be out for most of the day, but I should be back before Hope comes. I left you some breakfast as well as a key to the library and this studio. There should be a vial of that invisibility potion as well. Feel free to do whatever you want. Explore the town, be a nerd and study, sleep your weariness away, hit on some buff stallions. I don’t care.
 
Don’t have too much fun now,
