Spike is Captain Lavender.

If you have not seen Clone High, then I am so sorry for you.

JUST A NOTE ABOUT THE HEAVILY IMPLIED DRUG USE: I know how this looks, but I don’t actually condone the My Little Pony characters using drugs. (I am heavily anti-smoking myself.) This comic was solely based on a Clone High joke where the teenagers were convinced that smoking raisins gave them a psychedelic effect.

After seeing a Clone High flash on YouTube (where Celestia was put into the role of Principal Scudworth and Luna into the role of the Board of Shadowy Figures), I thought of how I could continue the joke. Initially, I knew that I’d have to make Rarity into Cleopatra, and that if she was Cleopatra, then it kind of goes without saying that Spike would have to be Abe.

Still, I needed to make that work somehow, so I went back to watch the series.

In one episode, during the raisin thing, Abe took the name Captain Lavender. Considering the fact that Spike is purple, and that Captain Lavender would be freakin’ perfect, I laughed my ass off and did a sketch of it.

The whole episode was essentially about how anything can be pushed as a drug (as long as it’s “cool” and “rebellious”), and how people will buy in just to behave like idiots because they have the opportunity to do so. (Similar to the episode in Family Guy where the teenagers started doing “toad” because they wanted to get high off of it.)

So here you have Spike behaving like a little idiot.

That’s all there is to it. It is a REFERENCE to a DUMB JOKE. Please do NOT take it seriously.
