Twilight Sparkle’s crush on Flash Sentry never really left since she went to the human world, so she instantly grew attached towards Flash Sentry more-so of the idea of him being this perfect prince charming boyfriend keeping her from straying away from pursuing his love. Flash Sentry was genearlly the same, except instead of being a guitarist he was a royal guard that soon transferred over to Twilight’s regiment instead of being in Cadence’s (because she JUST insisted her “little sister” got with her dream man). They soon got together after spending a lot of time together, seeing as Flash Sentry was close by Twilight every other day and they got to soon know each other more and more, Flash supported Twilight Sparkle through some tough times like her brother completely abandoning her and Cadence for Peachbottom and never seeing him again, and never really seeing her friends like Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, or Rarity ever again. It didn’t take long for one drunk night to happen and “passion” to blossom and Twilight become pregnant, which pushed them to get married rather quickly on in their relationship. Soon giving birth to their first daughter Halycon, who was to everyone’s surprise a alicorn child. It put Twilight in some deep stress though she fought through it all with her remaining friends who stuck around in Ponyville (Applejack, Fluttershy, Sunset). It was a few months of on and off sleepless nights and many days of taking turns but their alicorn baby was behaving like a normal baby then a unstable ball of magic that vanished every few minutes.  
Everything was fine, in the next 2 years they found themselves having another kid, Cinnamon Swirl (named after her hair resembled a cinnamon bun), who was a daring child. But a little after Twilight found she was pregnant with her 3rd child a year or so later trouble struck and Flash Sentry was soon called to go fight in a war against the Changelings who were still going strong and still trying to push their way through pony society, Flash while fighting became severally injured by a changeling and was deemed paralyzed from the flank and down and no recovery in the near future.
 
The family was able to cope with it, but this time it was Twilight that was able to help Flash out with everything seeing as he basically developed PTSD from fighting in that war (and whatever stuff that had come before, since he was a guard for a long while) and even adopted a cat as a family pet (mostly belonging to Flash since it helped him a lot), Twilight Sparkle was basically attached to his hip with how much she stood by him and constantly did whatever he needed even when he insisted he didn’t really didn’t need the extra help and she should focus on the baby that was going to be born sooner or later. The kids loved their father, and he spent as much time as he could with them and would read to them and tell them old stories from when he was in the royal guards (inspiring Cinnamon Swirl to want to roll in it when she was older) Soon enough, Orange Tart, their third child was born happy and healthy, which brought a lot of joy into their lives.  
Their marriage is probably the best one in this AU, they were super rocky at the start seeing as they were only together simply from attraction and ideals, but tragedy helped them stay together and work through everything so they didn’t abandon each other in dire times. Their mostly just stressed the fuck out by their eldest daughter CONSTANTLY running away from home and ignoring her duties as a the Heiress of Friendship.
